I'm driving up to Tulsa today to celebrate Tofurky day with my family, so postings will be infrequent, if at all. Is anyone else going to be in T-Town? Loophole, you usually go to Missouri, right? Update (10:15 AM): I just picked up today's Daily Texan, and they're running a front page feature with the headline "Happy Tofurky Day." Great minds think alike, I guess. Anyway, a campus group was serving a vegan Thanksgiving feast on campus yesterday, which I unfortunately missed. Readers in the Philadelphia area also missed out, since PETA held an action in Trenton where they handed out Tofurkys. All this Tofurky talk reminds me that I never posted my recap of Christmas last year where I made a Tofurky and took pictures each step of the way. Well, dear readers, look forward to a very special episode of m4dbl0g, "m4dd4wg's meatless family Christmas!"

The tofurkey, of course, is the philosophical opposite of the turducken, which is (as wel all should be able to tell from the name) a turkey, stuffed with a duck, stuffed with a chicken. MMM ... poultry-licious. It's John Madden's favorite Thanksgiving treat.

My parents had a Turducken at Christmas while I was still in college, but already a vegetarian. It looked nasty. I told my dad how the Turducken is like the trendy bird this year, and he was a little mystified, but he's not the kind of guy who gets fads in the first place. Well, maybe if they talked about it on NPR or something, but that's not what we'd call trendy.

M4dd0g... I should be in town for this holiday. Give me a call.

Loophole: I've decided that driving nine hours each way is not worth three joyful days with mom and dad, so I'm staying in Austin for this holiday. We've only got one more week of school, too, so I just wanna chill and work out at my leisure with the holiday, too. I should be in Tulsa for a week, week-and-a-half at christmas, tho. iZac: Last night on PTI they showed that clip of Madden annihilating the Turducken on Monday Night Football. It seemed kind of lame, since the fun part of the Turcken is when you slice it cleanly, allowing you to see the strata of meat on your plate. I think I'm gonna yak now.
