Hey y'all, I was watching Frontline last night, and they aired a show about how Ford, as well as NHTSA were painfully aware of how prone SUVs are to rollovers, yet vetted a new model, the Ford Explorer, because it was not significantly more dangerous than other SUVs.
The best part of the documentary came at the end. As they interviewed a a politician in Austin about a bill to make SUV makers liable, a crash was heard, and the politico said, "Oh my God." An SUV had just crashed in front of the capitol steps.
